I’m an economic researcher and writer. Economist have never projected a V-shaped recovery. I sit on calls with S&P and other top economists. From the start they have been saying the recovery will be U-shaped if we are lucky and most likely we won’t see the recovery until next year. This is been the case from the beginning of the Covid crisis.

Furthermore, the states that are considered Democratic have also had problems with COVID-19 hotspots. This crisis is a delicate balance between overwhelming medical systems and keeping the economic crisis to a minimum. Politicians are all trying to do their best. It makes no sense for the California governor to allow the California economy to crash. That would be political suicide for him.

We agree on one thing, we should keep partisan politics out of decision making and keep this crisis from becoming a partisan issue. However, it’s articles like this that promote partisanship.
