What a great article for every parent to read — and every victim of this type of philosophy. It is so important to love our kids for who they are, not who we want them to be. When I let go of my own expectations, I felt much happier as a parent because it is fun to watch your kids grow into who they want to be. They can often make you more proud than you knew was possible.
